Just got my hair comb at Springville Apple Festival yesterday morning....after wearing it all day had to go back and get another before they left!!! Love both of my new combs!!!!!

Love my new Simplistic-Designs haircomb! Thank you so much Marilyn and Lori!

I can't say enough about their copper and its healing powers!! Last year I spoke with Marilyn about the horrible arthritis pain in my left ring finger and how I could not bend it at all and was unable to wear my wedding ring because my finger was so swollen! She insisted I try wearing a copper ring and copper bracelets on my left hand. I was so skeptical. But now a year has gone by and I can even bend my finger to make a fist and my wedding ring fits!!!!
Thank you Marilyn! |
I picked up one of your hair combs today at the Renton river days, and I absolutely love it! My fine slippery hair has stayed in place all day, and the comb is amazingly light weight and comfortable.

At Simplistic Designs We sculpt metals. Copper, Bronze, German Silver, and Sterling silver provide us with an assortment of colorful opportunities to create Hair accessories including the well-known Simplistic Designs Hair Comb. We also sculpt and craft Bracelets, Necklaces, Toe Rings, and finger rings. Our aim is to make one of a kind wearable art pieces that are comfortable and attractive in timeless designs.
Our story starts with Jim Downs who crafted his first bracelet in 1981 from scrap metal left from the statue he was sculpting. His knowledge about metals launched him into a lifelong career of sculpting metal into durable pieces to wear. He taught his wife, Marilyn to weld and she still leads Lori Downs, Carole Zacher, and Larry Rankin as they design ,sculpt, and market each piece of art. Before Jim passed away in 2010 he made distinct impressions on all of us and also on thousands of customers about metal and art. Today we carry on that tradition in a standard of rich cultural philosophy that continues to bring joy to our customers.
About 90% of our items sold are truly one of a kind pieces. About 70% of our items sold are sold to previous customers. It gives us great pleasure to know that we continue to meet the expectations of our customers. We do not engage in wholesale business and those who purchase art from us are our friends. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
